Dirk is of course totally happy with the stage victory. The stage is in a difficult navigation went well despite a slow start, have found where Giniel de Vili and Dirk von Zitzewitz difficult their rhythm. In the mountains, it then ran well despite the difficult navigation. The end of the stage following dunes were very difficult to drive because there are relatively much vegetation and large rocks that are blocking the path. Nevertheless, it went well until the moment where they had a puncture in conjunction with a rim defect. The repair has taken a relatively long time and cost accordingly. Then of course there were concerns that the stage is gone. All the better that, as a second car with the best time in the target was.

Dirk said on Stern.de : "It's impressive how many spectators along the route are here and what is going on in the villages here. This enthusiasm makes us drivers really a great pleasure and it is beautiful here in the Dakar Rally to be there. "

    Wow - congratulations to the stage win! 've Always kept their last days and me on the first Stage win by Dirk and Giniel happy, now it's back again!
    And this should be only the beginning - I press continue to hold all thumbs!
