Three Volkswagen vans are part of the fleet of Volkswagen Motorsport in the 2007 Dakar Rally. As a basis for the Volkswagen Transporter Dakar is one Multivan 4MOTION with five-cylinder TDI engine and 128 kW (174 hp). Equipped with a roll cage, placed higher, with a shorter translation and a complete underride gives it to the van, the four-man crew on 6 January in Lisbon to Dakar Rally 2007 starts on 21 January arrives in Dakar.
